Belleair Beach: Located just to the south of Sand Key, Belleair Beach and Belleair Shore are even further away from the activity zones. However...that suits the residents just fine. With slightly lower property taxes than Clearwater and even more privacy, Belleair Beach and Belleair
Shore are an interesting mix of older condo buildings, intracoastal homes and Million dollar beachfront residences. With a higher percentage of full-time residents than both Clearwater Beach and Sand Key, Belleair Beach and Belleair Shore are certainly a nice choice for those who value privacy, boating and/or community.
An interesting fact:
Private property lines in Belleair Shore extend westward to the high water mark in the sand. Thus, making most of the beach in front of the homes in this community private. Also, commercial and multi-family high rise buildings are prohibited and set-back and height limitations are designed to protect the continuity visual integrity of the area.
